Assembling Open Hardware at CERN

What does “open science” mean from the vantage of large-scale research organizations, such as CERN? To respond to this question, I conducted ethnographic field research at CERN from 2017 until 2019 examining the ways in which engineers and scientists engage Free and Open Source projects to create common reseach tools and infrastructures.
