pyphreak: blue box

Pyphreak is an educational software to simulate a famous artifact: the Blue Box. It was conceived for ‘hands-on’ teaching on the history of computer and phone hacking for the course “Archaeology of Hacking”.

It simulates the bluebox by generating the world famous 2600Hz signal, the “key pulse” (KP) and “start” (ST) tones, and the regular 0-9 numbers for dialing-a-joke!
